What to Expect During Secret RF Treatments
Secret RF is a minimally invasive treatment that involves limited downtime. If you have never experienced an RF microneedling treatment before, you are probably curious to learn what the treatment process involves and what you can expect. To help familiarize you with this revolutionary skin revitalization treatment, here is an overview of the treatment process.
Consultation
Your clinician will talk to you about your skin concerns and cosmetic goals and review your medical history. They will assess your skin to see if you are eligible for treatment and offer alternatives if necessary. During your initial consultation, your clinician will walk you through the treatment and share pre- and post-treatment instructions.
Preparation
To prepare your skin for RF microneedling, we will gently cleanse your skin and apply a numbing cream. You may need to wait for the numbing cream to take effect. The numbing cream will then be removed from your skin prior to treatment.
Treatment
During the treatment, tiny needles will penetrate your skin and simultaneously, RF energy will be deployed. You might feel slight pinching and heating during this process. Depending on the area being treated, the treatment usually takes around 30 minutes to complete. We recommend a series of at least three treatments to see results, however, some patients may need more treatments.
Post-treatment
Your clinician will apply a soothing serum and sunscreen after treatment. They will explain how to take care of your skin in the days and weeks after your treatment and schedule your next session.
Post-Procedure Guidance
Once all injections are completed, your injector will give some brief instructions—like avoiding lying down or massaging the area for a few hours and skipping strenuous activities for the day.
Secret RF Recovery
While RF microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment, there will be some redness and warmth to the skin immediately after the treatment, and you may experience minor discomfort as your skin heals. The warmth usually dissipates in a few hours, and the mild redness should resolve within 72 hours, but oftentimes sooner. You will notice subtle changes in your skin as the effect of treatment gradually unfolds to reveal rejuvenated and refreshed skin. Here is what a typical recovery after Secret RF Microneedling looks like.
The first 24 hours
It is normal for your skin to appear slightly red for a couple of hours post-treatment, similar to what you would experience with a mild sunburn. This is the result of RF heating the dermis and is a sign that the treatment is working. You can wash your skin with a mild cleanser after treatment and you will be asked to keep your skin moist with post-treatment balm to aid in healing. In addition, make sure to wear sunscreen as your skin heals.
Days one to three
Some patients notice minor swelling and redness for up to three days, which usually resolve on their own. Rarely, there can be small spots of bruising, which can take a little longer to heal. Makeup can be worn 24+ hours post-treatment, however, we also recommend continuing the healing balm and SPF.
After three days
Some patients will notice the small channels made by the device either in the mirror or when touching the skin. This does not always occur but is part of the normal healing process. Continue using the healing balm and talk with your clinician about which other home care products you can resume.
Secret RF Results
Your skin will look brighter and more radiant as you heal post-treatment. However, it can take between three and six months for the full effects of treatment to unfold. This is because it takes a while for the skin to produce new collagen fibers. With each subsequent treatment, your results will become more prominent. The results include diminished fine lines, reduction in pore size, reduced sagging and an overall smoother and more even complexion.

I have gone to Vitahl for the medical facial and a laser rejuvenation which is the most popular laser service. I had a brief consultation and the service in the next room, all in a very stylish and comfortable environment. As this is a medical spa, there are no pressured sales pitches and no tips expected. Liz is absolutely fantastic. At first I was skeptical about Botox and how it would affect me starting at a somewhat early age. I’m 28 but have a pretty distinct frown line between my eyebrows. Once I learned it was preventative it was a no brainer. I have had Botox 4 times at Vitahl and I have no reason to seek out any other places because they do such a great job and are super thorough. Liz makes you feel like you’re her best friend and puts you at complete ease and genuinely cares. It’s definitely not cheap but it’s an investment for your youth!

I had three services done by Lindsay, the Laser Genesis, dermaplaning, and Hydrafacial. Prior to starting Lindsay took time to address my skin concerns, and since I have not had a facial before she made sure to explain everything before doing it, and when certain sensations (warmth, tingling, etc.) were normal. Although these services can be aggressive to the skin, she was very gentle and my skin had no burning or redness afterwards. I also appreciate that she recommended products to help with my skin concerns, but didn't pressure me into purchasing anything.
Both Lindsay, and the woman at the front desk (sorry I didn't catch her name) created a laid back energy, and made it very welcoming, I look forward to coming back.

She has a steady but gentle hand when injecting. She truly made the process seamless. I had a wonderful experience today at Vitahl. I got dermaplaning and a chemical peel. Sure, my skin looks and feels fantastic, but it was Jessica who really got this place the 5 stars. Ask for her! She is really sweet, friendly and most of all informative! Dermaplaning was new to me, and I felt completely at ease. The front desk was also very nice and helpful. I will be back.
